Yashoda decorated krishna with many ornaments and admired his beauty everyday.
Nevertheless, when she tied him up to the mortar as a punishment, that rope would be the most
precious jewel that Krishna would cherish for all time.
Damodara literally means a rope (Dama) tied around the belly (Udara).
